Hansa Beach is located at a distance of 4. 5 kms from Vasco Da Gama. It is a small private beach, close to the naval area, with a safe and heartening ambience.
Hansa beach is beautiful beyond measure and does not come under the commercial or public beaches of the state. Situated in South Goa, the beach is controlled by the Indian Navy because of its location, which is close to major naval installations in the area. It is well-maintained by the Navy, with regular cleanups to ensure that there is no sort of garbage anywhere on the beach. The currents on the beach are mild and it has been rated safe for swimming. The access to the beach is through the Indian Navy Hansa Naval Base which is quite near to the Naval Aviation Museum. Entry to the beach is restricted to the naval personnel and their families only. Often, they are seen enjoying the long stretches of the sand.
Goa is a happening place and a good vacation spot. Every year, millions of tourists come to the beach-state, looking for cheap liquor and a place to party. When visiting Vasco Da Gama, you can also visit the state capital, Panaji, which is nearly 30 km away from Bogmalo. The Dudh Sagar Waterfalls, which are famous all over the state and are a popular tourist attraction, are about 70 km away. The best time to visit the state is during the winters, from November to February. The weather is pleasant and they are the peak months for tourism.
Entry to the beach is restricted to the tourists and other public personnel. There is a beach patrol who mind the entry of the people, the patrol may give visitors access to the beach depending on the time of the day.
