Dhola Sadiya Bridge is also known as Bhupen Hazarika Setu, it is located in Dhola Sadiya, Assam. It is located around 64 kms away from the city centre of Tinsukia.
Dhola Sadiya Bridge connects north east states of Assam to Arunachal Pradesh. This brige has a length of around 9 kilometres, it is considered as the longest bridge made in India, till date. This bridge has the capacity of handling around 60 tonnes of weight. This bridge was constructed in a Public Private Partnership, by Ministry of Road Transportations and Highway in 2017. Dhola Sadiya Bridge was inaugrated by our Honarable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The bridge is named after a famous film-maker and actor Bhupen Hazarika.
Dhola Sadiya Bridge is now the longest recently built bridge. It has a beautiful view of Brahmaputra river and Hills at quite a distance. The whole combination of river, mountains and long road adds up to the thrill of the visitors. people often spend around 40 to 50 minutes on this bridge.
