Shri Dahigun Teerth is a famous Jain Pilgrimage site. The temple has idol of Bhagwan Mahavir and foot-idols of His Holiness Mahattisagarji Maharaj Saheb which was installed in the year 1889. The idol of Lord Mahavir was installed by Pandit Gunachandraji. The temple is a resemblance of stunning old architecture. It is located at a distance of 115 kms from Solapur.
The idol of Bhagwan Mahavir in padmasana posture is nearly 244cms high and is black in colour. It looks very majestic, serene and wonderful. Ancient oil paintings of Digambar Acharyas are painted on the walls of the temple which are very beautiful and impressive. The greenery around the temple is marvellous and can be richly enjoyed by the devotees visiting the temple. The environment around the temple is very calm and peaceful and thus suitable for conducting various religious activities.
Various religious activities and functions are organised within the premises of the temple. A fair on the fifteenth day of the bright half of the month of 'Kartika' is organized every year. The visitors can spend their time by worshipping the idol and enjoying the serene beauty of the nature. While worshipping and relaxing in the temple visitors can feel a pool of cosmic energy flowing in their body.
People generally visit this temple due to its miraculous powers. It is believed that people can get rid of their physical and mental problems by meditating alongside the idol of Bhagwan Mahavir. Natapota is the nearest village to the temple at a distance of nearly 7km. Bus and taxi facilities can be availed to reach the temple. Also lodging facilities are available if someone want to spend sometime with their family. Photography is strictly prohibited. Shri Dahigun Teerth can be visited during timings 8:00 AM - 7:30 PM.
