Tulsi Math, a well-known tourist site and a shrine, is located about 85 Kms from Shahjahanpur. It is situated in close vicinity to the historic templeof Alakhnath Temple.

It is believed to be the home of great poet Tulsidas, the renowned author of 'Ramcharitmanas', the Hindi-Awadhi version of the Sanskrit Ramayana. And thus many legends suggest, Tulsidas was often considered to be the reincarnation of the author of Ramayana, Shri Valmiki because of his amazing works. This place is well-maintained by the temple authorities and daily prayers are offered here. Due to its closeness to famous Alakhnath temple, Tulsi Math has attained many prominent devotees as well as the Hindi literature lovers.

In Tulsi Math, varies plants of Tulsi are also grown, that are looked after the temple priests. Various festivals like Holi, Diwali, Janmashtami, Ram Navami, Maha Shivaratri, Navratri etc. are celebrated here.

The Tulsi Math can be visited during timings 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM. The best months for visiting this place is during the festive season. It is thetime when the premises of this amazing place are decorated beautifully and make it look even appealing. The Tulsi Math consists of an open courtyard with a small idol of a local god. The place is known for its spiritual importance and serenity.
