Gudguda Waterfall is one of the most popular waterfalls of Sambalpur, Odisha. It is covered with dense trees from all sides, which makes it one of its kind. It is located in the Kuchida town, near to Sambalpur. It is located at a distance of 96 kms from Sambalpur.

The waterfall lies amid dense forests of the Gudguda mountains. The pathway is very narrow and one needs to climb a trek in order to reach its each stage one after the other. It is divided into seven stages, whereas till five can be accessed through a hard climb. Being situated in a dense forest, this waterfall is quite a thrilling place to visit with friends and family. Tourists can swim or take a bath in the chilling water coming from the Gudguda mountains. It gives visitors an experience of both calmness and wilderness as people have to trek mountains in order to reach the different stages of Gudguda waterfall.

It can be ideally visited during a daytime as nights would not be safe for trekking as well as due to the presence of wild animals in the forest area. Visitors can spend two hours enjoying the scenic beauty of this place. It is advised not to visit this waterfall during rainy seasons. The ideal time would be from January to March and from October to November.

It is an open waterfall that can be visited on any day of the week. There are no entrance charges so as to enter this site. However, visitors have to pay a minimal fee for vehicle parking. It is 20 Rs for two wheelers and 50 Rs for four wheelers.
