Okhla Bird Sanctuary is wildlife preserve located in Gautam Buddh Nagar district of Noida. Okhla Bird Sanctuary is located at a distance of approximately 7. 7 kms from Noida City Centre and is placed at Okhla barrage connected by Mathura road through Sarita Vihar.

The Okhla Bird Sanctuary is known as the home for more than 300 species of birds among which, water birds are larger in number. The sanctuary is placed over Yamuna river and is spread over approximately 3. 5 square kms. The main attraction of the sanctuary is a large lake which was formed artificially because of accumulation of water due to the dam on the river. Due to the attraction towards this artificial lake, the sanctuary also welcomes migratory birds during winters. The birds which could be seen in the sanctuary are, White-Rumped and Indian vultures which are critically endangered species, Baikal teal, Baer's pochard, Indian skimmer, Pallas's Fish Eagle, Bristled Grassbird, Grey-Headed Fish Eagle. The sanctuary is almost a forest area surrounded by trees and grass which makes the atmosphere of the sanctuary pollution free and very relaxing. Apart from this, beautiful wooden bridges are available to cross water bodies for the visitors. Along with the birds, the sanctuary is also a home for various types of plants and around 190 species of plants have been found in the sanctuary. The residents of the sanctuary are not only limited to birds and plants, but various types of mammals could be seen as well. Some of the mammals in the sanctuary are, Nilgai, Indian mongoose, Blacknaped Hare, Jackals. A large part of water bodies is covered by different water plants which appears very beautiful and is loved by every eye. Okhla Bird Sanctuary is one of the bests place for picnics around Noida with beautiful birds, plants and animals in the lap of nature.

Timing of the sanctuary differs in winter and in summer. Summer timings 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM and Winter timings 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Entry fees are: INR 30 for Indian and INR 350 for foreigners. Apart from this, visitors have to pay for carrying cameras.
