Kali Nadi Devi Mandir is a Hindu temple located in Muzaffarnagar. It is within city limits at a distance of 1 km from the city centre.
Situated on the west end of the city of Muzzafarnagar, Kali-Nadi Devi Mandir is one of the oldest temple and the must visit tourist attraction in the city. It is a very popular tourist destination and is very holy due to the close proximity with the Ganga or the Ganges. The place is connected to Parikshit of Mahabharat. It is said here Shuk Muni (Saint) first delivered Shrimad Bhagwad to Parikshit before he died. The temple holds a great mythological importance. The presiding deity of the temple is Maa Kali along with other Hindu Gods and Godessess.
The Kali Devi Mandir is a very important pilgrimage place. It celebrates Devi Chaudas, an important festival in which a large scale bhandara is being conducted to feed the needy and the homeless. So it is a really charitable venture. Moreover on the following the festival of Holi, a large fair is held in and around the temple premises. During the Navratra, devotees in huge number throng to the temple to worship the Goddess and seek blessings for health, wealth and prosperity. Although it is located on a very crowded place with narrow lanes many devotees snake their way unto this Temple. The best time to visit the place is from March - August when the festivals are celebrated.
