Ganjgolai, a prominent reilious site, is situated in the heart of Latur city. The place lies within the city limits of Latur and is just at a distance of 3 km from the city center.

Ganjgolai is mainly a holy temple. It was established in the year 1917. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Jagdamba. The area around the temple is densely populated with marketing stores and shops. It is one of the oldest historical monuments of Latur city which has graced the city with its presence for almost hundred years now.

The temple of Ganjgolai is essentially a two-storied architectural beauty which is colossal and magnificent. In the middle of the temple lies a circular edifice where the holy shrine is placed which is dedicated as to paying homage to Goddess Jagdamba. The architecture of the temple is very exquisite and has some amazing intricate designs engraved to it. The interior of the structure evokes both spiritual piety and admiration.

There are about more than 15 roads that connect to Ganjgolai and alongside these streets are the dispersed bazaars hawking all categories of customary local ware items such as gold curious to footwear and from food objects of chilly to jiggery. These street markets have amazing progression which has led Ganjgolai as the core profit making place in terms of money and trade.

Visitors can also enjoy shopping at the market place nearby the temple area. The place around Ganjgolai remains a bit crowded during the evenings. Ganjgolai is open all around the year for the visitors to visit. The temple can be visited during timings 6:00 AM – 11:45 AM and 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Photography inside the temple area is strictly prohibited. However, people can take photos outside the temple area.
