Razhu point is located in the Nagaland's state capital Kohima which is known for its various beautiful places which always make the travelers and history-lovers to find themselves atleast once here in their lifetime. The Razhu point is the midpoint of the city Kohima . So it is the intersection point to the surrounding areas. It is also called as the 'Epicenter of the Kohima' by the locals. This point houses the various countries restaurants and cafes as well it hosts the market area with many street vendors as well as the attracting shopping outlets. Sometimes it is called as the 'Night Bazaar or Night Market' during special occasions because it is crowdie and busy with ever visiting customers. The special wall arts by the local artists also gives treat to the art-lovers who come across to this area. It has a historical link with the Great War World War II it became as a landmark of the Kohima and it is the traffic interception point too.
Razhu point, being the heart of the town, has different varieties of shopping articles and products. This area is known for its colorful bazaars where one can shop for unique Nagaland variety of handicrafts and beautiful clothing types. The handicrafts and the clothing material as well as the many other grocery items are specially made by the local tribal women of Kohima who are well trained in this field. There are many garment shops, restaurants, cafeteria, vegetable markets, playground areas and much more.
The shops and establishments around the Razhu area are usually open during timings 9:00 AM - 11:00 PM. It becomes busy during Sundays and special occasions like Christmas, Durga Navatratri and Hornbill festival.
