Gopegarh Eco Park is a well eco park and a heritage tourism center situated on the banks of river Kangsabati at a distance of 28 kms from Kharagpur with a mesemerizing landscape. And is a secluded park near Midnapore.

Gopegarh was once a fort of the Gope kings and the name is derived from it and has been transformed into the eco park. The park has an amazing flower garden in the fort including Duranda, Vacaranda, Tekosa, Sal and Bakul trees and strewn with soft lush green grass. The park has a pond with paddle boating facilities for recreation along with the children park.

There is watch tower constructed for the panoramic views of the river and the rail bridge over the sparkling waters. There are cottages available to stay for the visitors in the park. A stroll on the flowerbeds in the evening and the peaceful surrounding amidst the lush green nature will soothe anyones mind. Musical fountain is worth spending the time with your loved ones.

Popular attractions near the park is Arabari Forest range which is the home to herds of elephants. Gongoni, a naturally formed canyon located on the banks of the River Shilabati towards West Medinipur. Sukumar Sengupta Park, Khudiram Bose Park, Vidyasagar Park of Midnapore town are added attraction of the spot.

The park is open to visitors during timings 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and is open throughout the year with the minimal entry fees and the charges for cottages is different depending on the facilities provided.
