Durga Bhawani Mandir is a religious site for Hindus situated in Karnal, Haryana. The place is at a distance of about 2. 3 kms from the Karnal railway station.

The Durga Bhawani temple is a very old place in Karnal, with some saying it dating back to 400 years from now. It is situated close to the city’s old bus stand, and is pretty popular with followers of Goddess Durga. Dedicated to the Goddess, Durga Bhawani Mandir also houses several other deities. There are up to 60 gods and goddesses worshipped under the same roof, including Lord Shiva, Lord Ram, Lord Hanuman and the Sun God. It is also believed that the regular lighting of a lamp leads to prayers being answered.

The temple is a beautiful building, with a very high domed top. There is also a pond inside the temple, dedicated to the Goddess of the Ganga River. It is taken care of by a trust of people, headed by Ram Murti Sharma.

The nine auspicious days of Navratri which are dedicated to the incarnations of the Goddess Durga are celebrated with pomp and splendour at the Durga Bhawani Mandir. The festival of Dusshehra is also an important event observed at the temple, where devotees can also offer prayers to the Goddess Ganga. The best time to visit the place is between the months of October and February, when the weather is more suitable for a trip around Karnal. Visitors can expect to spend up to 1 hour at the temple.
