Jeevan Shah Tiraha is a triangular road intersection with the statue of Jhalkari Bai and is surrounded by showrooms and outlets of all kinds. Jhalkari bai was a woman soldier in the army of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi against the East India Company. Jhalkari Bai was born in a Koli family and later on in her life she joined the Indian Rebellion of 1857 by serving in Rani Lakshmibai's Army, she eventually rose to the position of the advisor to the Queen. On one such occassion she disguised herself as Rani Lakshmibai and fought off the East India Company while the Queen was hurried to safety from a safe passage. The tiraha is devoted to the memory of her Bravery and Pride, and how she played a very important role in the Rebellion.
