Bijasen Tekri is a temple located in the city of Indore, Madya Pradesh. This tekri (hillock) has a temple dedicated to BijasenMata which was built in the year 1920. It is prominent for it's Maa Durga Temple on hill top. The temple has it's roots in history and is also famous for its Navratri Mela(fair). It is located within city limits, at a distance of about 7 Km from city centre.
This tekri [hummock] has been named after Bijasen Mata hence called as Bijasen Tekri. Bijasen Tekri is an ideal picnic spot surrounded by gardens and a small lake. It offers a breathtaking view of the city and a magnificent view of the sunset. The once guest house of the royal Holkars at the top of the hill has been converted into Border Security Arms Museum.
Bijasen Temple also hosts a popular fair held here during the nine-day long Navratri festival.
